Saddened to hear of Donna's passing. I knew her from McDonald's but I was also friends with Jimmy from the neighbourhood and school.

Sincere condolences to Ron and family. I had the pleasure of meeting Donna and Ron when I was 16 and thrilled to get hired at their MacDonald’s on Niagara Street. What fond memories were made and what truly wonderful, kind, hard-working and genuine qualities Ron and Donna demonstrated to us “kids”. Over the years running into Donna from time to time, she always had a hug and a smile. RIP Donna. Joanne & Malcolm Macleod

I am deeply saddened to hear of Donna‘s passing. She was a great friend of mine and I cared for her deeply. Because of our friendship, I had the privilege of getting to know Donna and Ron very closely and spent much time at their home. As the family has mentioned, sarcasm was her way of loving you and caring for you. Many good times of having my sermons ripped apart, lovingly, and laughter as the two of us battled wit and barbs. She made a pact with me early on in our friendship, that whoever went first would take care of the other. I’m going to miss her and Ron, she was the best friend I ever had. She helped me through many difficult times in my priesthood by making me check myself and “not get so heavenly I’m not any earthly good”, in her words. My dear friend, you have won the race, and your prize awaits you in the arms of Jesus. Father Peter Walton.
