Tammy Skuta posted a condolence
Dear Michel and family,
Your mom was my grade 2 teacher and I have very fond memories of my year in her class. Her laughter and kind ways with students and flair for the latest fashions were just a few things that made an impression on me as a young girl. She was one of my childhood role models and one of the teachers who made an impression on my life and in my heart, and guided me into pursuing a career in teaching. May it bring you some peace knowing that your dear mother has touched the lives of many in her lifetime. God Bless you and your family. My deepest sympathy, Tammy Skuta and family

Michel and family, I am sorry for your loss. Your mother was one of my favourite teachers. I know that goes back 50 years but I still remember her fondly. Goodie goodie gum drops she would say and always had her classroom well decorated. My deepest condolences. Suzie

Mme Lukacsy was my first grade teacher at école Général Vanier in 88-89. I arrived on my first day not able to speak or understand much French. I remember her being very patient, kind and compassionate. She has remained my favourite teacher since. My deepest sympathies to Michel and Lynn, who I also remember from my school days.

My deepest heartfelt sympathies to Victoire's extended family, her sister Pauline, son Michel & Jay, her daughter Lynne. I remember your mother with fondness. She was an elegant woman, and yes Michel, she took great pride in herself as with her family.
Your mother will live in your hearts for eternity. She will come to you in subtle ways, and when you question something odd, that will be her letting you know she's there. God Bless. Carol xo

Dear Michel and Lynn,
Your mother was blessed to have you both take care of her in her final years. It was obvious to us that you loved her very much. We will miss hearing her voice outside next summer! God bless you both.
With deepest sympathy,

Michel et Lynn and Jay, I was stopped in my tracks when I saw your note. I am so horribly sad - the chic-est woman ever in any of the schools we had! Though not my teacher when was a child, I think my family's younger crew had the pleasure especially Danielle. Later as an older adult, you, your mom and dad brought the pasta dinners to me because I just was not well. You learned the most beautiful ways to reach out to people which showed us love and support. I still remember your dad standing at the back of Father Nick's church - not sitting, standing so quietly at Mr. Vasko's funeral service. Just your dad's being there gave me so much comfort at such a terrible time. As the service folded and I looked for that stoic man standing in the back to thank him he had already snuck out. Just think that with Frank and Nancy and Vicky and Stephen would all go out dancing - I know that the Vasko's are in line waiting to take your parents out dancing as they did when they were so young. More sympathies from Paulo in Mississauga have just been sent on. You, Lynne, your parents and Jay are looked at with the same love, respect that may be overwhelming but we are feeling the three of you for what your parents successfully raised you to be. m.
